Brian
Jorg was born and raised
in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently Manager
of Horticulture for a major conservation
organization. Among his duties are working
with rare and endangered plant material.
Brian also leads tours on various topics
including native wildflowers. Brian also
appears regularly on radio and TV, promoting
horticulture topics whenever he can. He
also writes about the natural world in various
print media.
Brian is also a part-time photographer.
His images have been used in books, magazines,
educational displays, greeting cards, and
in prints. His favorite subjects include
native wildflowers, birds, and wildlife.
Brian possesses a passion for nature travel,
and is on the road every chance he gets.
Some of his favorite places include Alaska,
Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, Nova Scotia,
and the Great Smoky Mountains. Whether searching
for a rare orchid or chasing storms, Brian
is always looking for his next chance to
photograph a natural event.
When
not traveling, Brian resides in Cincinnati
with his wife Monika, and their three daughters.
